"The Girls Of MySpace" is an on-going Acrylic Painting Series.

 

Andy Warhol once said, "In the future everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes". 

 

This series is an ode to Andy Warhol with a nod to his "Pop Art" style and his uncanny ability to predict the future. The first "GOM" ever created was a test just for fun, based on a photo I had taken of one of my favorite long-time clients. It received so much positive feed-back, that I have since continued the series, choosing girls from MySpace that I felt deserved their 15 minutes of fame. I choose girls that "speak" to me and appear, in my opinion, to be "ready" for their 15 minutes of fame. They are given new names and colours that suit what I believe their personalities to be.
